The Heart O’ Wisconsin Genealogical Society has researchers who will do some local research for a small fee. Some examples of local research are finding, scanning and sending an obituary; obtaining information from a city directory; and/or extracting information from church and school centennial books held at the library.

We ask a donation of $20.00 for a small search.  If more is required for your research, an hourly rate of $20.00 plus photocopy expenses would be charged.  These fees can be sent via check made out to HOWGS and sent to our P.O. Box 1565, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54495.

After finding your family member in one of the indexes available on our site, one of our members can make a copy and send to you.  Courthouse original vitals have an extra cost.  For more details check the Wood County Court site.  A transcript could be done from the original within the hourly rate fee.
